Fans React To Today’s Nathaniel Hackett Report

New York Jets fans might want to look away from this.

Apparently, the Jets were trying to hire an offensive coach that would in essence replace Nathaniel Hackett.

According to SNY’s Connor Hughes, the Jets made “legitimate attempts this offseason to hire someone who would, essentially, replace Nathaniel Hackett.”

It seems like negative news follows the current Jets offensive coordinator wherever he goes.

Hughes also notes that the person who would’ve been hired would’ve had a title above offensive coordinator.

“Internally, there are legitimate concerns with Hackett’s ability to successfully run things,” Hughes states.

Fans clearly have differing opinions on this topic.

Some believe Hackett is a liability.

Others believe the Hackett criticism is overblown

The Jets should be ready to win right now.

They have a healthy four-time MVP quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, who is ready to go.

The team added big-play threat Mike Williams and completely revamped their offensive line thanks to their signing of All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith.

Those that are reportedly doubting Hackett need to take a deep breath.

Last season, the offense wasn’t good because Rodgers went down due to his Achilles injury.

In Green Bay, from 2019 to 2021, the Packers had one of the best offenses in football thanks to the combo of Rodgers and Hackett, who was the offensive coordinator.

The pundits out there, along with the impatient fans, cannot judge Hackett until they see what this offense is with a healthy Rodgers.

After all, he was brought in because of what he did in Green Bay all those years.

Whatever the reports are out there, Hackett cannot be judged until they see what he can do with Rodgers once again.

Remember, Bill Belichick seemingly wasn’t was good of a coach without Brady in New England
