The Kansas City Chiefs already understand that they have possibly been dealt the hardest opening two games in the league and they now know when their Super Bowl LVIII rematch is on the cards.

Patrick Mahomes and his franchise will be unraveling their new Super Bowl banner in front of a packed-out audience at Arrowhead Stadium.

To make the moment even sweeter, they will be doing so in front of the Baltimore Ravens who could still be in mourning over their devastating heartbreak in the AFC Championship clash.

Ravens and Chiefs take to the stage in one of the biggest opening games in recent history

The Ravens and the Chiefs are set to take to the grand stage on prime-time TV and deliver a guaranteed spectacle.

Roger Goodell and the NFL will know that this clash will be one of the biggest opening games in history; record-breaking viewing figures could be on the cards.

Moreover, the Chiefs have also found out that they will be on prime-time in successive weeks as they host the Cincinnati Bengals in another tasty affair.

Therefore, the Chiefs are set to host two of the most-threatening AFC contenders in the opening two weeks. If they win both games, this would be the perfect start to the ‘three-peat’ season, although it could have the opposite effect if they lost.

Super Bowl LVIII clash is set to be recontested in Week 7 with the Chiefs on the road

Yesterday, ESPN Insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Chiefs are set to play the San Francisco 49ers on October 20th.

As a result, the Super Bowl LVIII matchup is set to take place in week 7 of the Chiefs’ growing calendar.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Xavier Worthy will be squaring off with familiar foes in Brock Pudry, Christian McCaffery, and Deebo Samuel – there will be fireworks!

However, the Chiefs have scheduled three major tests at a pivotal stage in the season where they could be forced to play without their rookie sensation Rashee Rice.

Chiefs set to lose Rice for a prolonged period in the 2024 season

Adam Schefter has confirmed that the NFL is preparing to issue a multi-game suspension for the wide receiver’s offseason behavior.

The 24-year-old was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on a Dallas Highway after being caught speeding moments before.

Rice handed himself in to the police after a warrant was issued for his arrest on April 10th.

The franchise is preparing to start its 2024 three-peat campaign without their key player and now faces three huge tests in a period where he is banned.

Mahomes has proved before that he can win games when he does not have star talent at his disposal.

NFL expert Chris Broussard said the Chiefs did not need Rice. Nevertheless, the former Raven Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy can step up to the task in his likely absence.
