PFF names Giants’ player most underrated.

Earlier this week Pro Football Focus ranked the most underrated player amongst all 32 teams, and for the New York Giants, it seemed like a no-brainer to recognize linebacker Bobby Okereke.

Signed by New York last offseason, the $40 million free agent contract last offseason, the investment was worth the return.

PFF writes:

Okereke was everything and even more that the Giants might have hoped for when they signed him as a free agent in 2023. Not only did he play a career-high snap total, but his 1,128 snaps over the regular season ranked second among all linebackers. In addition, his 78.9 overall grade ranked 12th among linebackers.

Okereke is coming off a season in which He recorded 149 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a career-high four forced fumbles, two interceptions, and ten passes defensed.

Okereke and ex-teammate Xavier McKinney were the only defenders in the NFL to not miss a snap in the entire 2023 season.

The former 2019 third-round draft selection entered the league with the Indianapolis Colts, where he spent his first four seasons before joining the Giants in 2023.
