The Boston Celtics will be hailed as heroes when they hold their championship parade on Friday.
Millions of loyal fans will come out to cheer on the new champions and celebrate their massive win in the Finals.
On Friday morning, Boston sports hero Bill Belichick sent his support to the Celtics.
On his foundation’s Twitter account, Belichick said, “Congrats @celtics! This view doesn’t get old. Enjoy it out there today!”
The tweet was accompanied by Belichick’s own image from one of his championship parades.
Friday’s parade has been a long time coming for this Celtics team.
They have been considered one of the best teams in the NBA for years but have consistently come up short in the postseason.
But everything came together this year with an improved roster, a weak conference, and mostly good luck with injuries.
The Celtics stormed through the playoffs and were able to pull off a dominant 3-0 lead in the Finals over the Dallas Mavericks.
People may look back at this group as one of the best Celtics teams of all time.
Now they will attempt to repeat their success next season and win another title.
It’s very hard to claim back-to-back championships, especially as this offseason will be filled with many trades and changes.
But now that the Celtics have experienced winning the Finals, they will work even harder to do it again.
Boston players will soak in every second of their championship parade on Friday but their minds will also be focused on doing it again next year.
