£13m Leeds player has just hinted he is in the squad to face Stoke tonight

Daniel Farke may be tempted to make some changes to his Leeds United side to face Stoke City tonight.

The Whites face the third of four matches in just nine days at Elland Road this evening and Farke will be keen to ensure the squad is refreshed in order to get back to winning ways.

Leeds were without Pascal Struijk, Joe Gelhardt, Jamie Shackleton and Stuart Dallas for the weekend draw at Huddersfield Town but have a couple of fresh selection issues to contend with.

Jaidon Anthony is out due to personal reasons, Shackleton is adhering to concussion protocols and Junior Firpo was named as a minor doubt due to a calf problem.

However, £13m man Firpo may have just hinted on Instagram that he is in the squad tonight by posting a pre-match graphic onto his story, which several players do on matchday.

Firpo drops selection hint

Firpo posts one of these before every match in which he is involved in. Georginio Rutter, Ethan Ampadu and Illan Meslier are among some of the others who do so as well.

This post is certainly a huge hint he will be involved in some capacity tonight, as when Rutter missed last week’s defeat to Chelsea for example, there was no pre-match story from him.

Whether this confirms Firpo will be in the starting line-up once again is another question, particularly with Sam Byram now fully fit and ready to play significantly more minutes after 10 days of training.

Firpo has been decent since coming into the XI back at the start of January, but an injury concern is never too far away with him, and it may be risky to give him a start if there is any doubt.

Leeds face another quick turnaround at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday and perhaps some rotation in that position could be needed to avoid any injury issues.
