Report: Pedro Porro injury update as Spurs train

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has noted that there was no sign of Pedro Porro in the latest training video released by Tottenham ahead of their clash against Aston Villa.

Porro has missed Tottenham’s last two games against Wolves and Crystal Palace with a muscle problem but the right-back was sitting in the dugout during the clash against Eagles and did seem to be in great spirits.

Ange Postecoglou said last week ahead of the Palace game that the Spaniard is “probably another week away” from returning (Tottenham’s official channel).

Pedro Porro not spotted in Tottenham training

However, Gold has now provided a concerning update by revealing that the right-back was not seen training with his teammates in the latest training video shared by the club.

The journalist does point out that the 24-year-old might have simply been training indoors in the gym but we will have to wait for confirmation from Postecoglou in his press conference on Friday about the former Sporting star’s fitness.

Spurs Web Opinion

Our clash against Villa is arguably our biggest of the season so far and Postecoglou will desperately hope that Porro is back fit as the Spaniard’s vision and passing range adds another dimension to our attack.

However, the Australian might not want to risk the 24-year-old if he is not 100 per cent fit and the fact that he has not trained with the squad until Wednesday suggests that he is not likely to be fully fit for the trip to the West Midlands.
