Playing for the Dallas Cowboys often comes with the added pressure of near-weekly primetime games, elevated expectations, and relentless media scrutiny.
Former Cowboy and current Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz recently made headlines when he went on The Pat McAfee Show and compared playing for the Cowboys to living in a zoo and being full of distractions
Current Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson apparently heard those comments and has replied with a subtle dig at his former teammate, posting a picture on his Instagram of a quote plastered in the Cowboys facility that says, “it is a privilege, not a right, to play, coach and work for the Dallas Cowboys.”
Schultz spent his first five seasons with the Cowboys before joining the Texans last offseason and recently re-upped with Houston for a 3-year, $36 million deal.
On his time in Houston compared to Dallas, Schultz said “The focus is just football.”
He also detailed times when players were lifting in the training facilities while fans on tours of the stadium would tap on the glass to get their attention.
Ferguson is off to a strong start in Dallas and has quickly become a vital member of the Cowboys offense.
Ferguson posted 71 catches for 761 yards and five touchdowns this past year.
