Celtic starting XI to face Livingston in Scottish Cup quarter-final clash

Celtic continue their defence of the Scottish Cup today (Sunday) when they play host to Livingston in the quarter-final of the competition.

The Hoops have already seen off Buckie Thistle and St Mirren to reach this stage and will be aiming to book their place in Monday night’s semi-final draw.

Brendan Rodgers has made two changes to the starting XI from last weekend, with Stephen Welsh replacing Cameron Carter-Vickers and Nicolas Kuhn coming in for the suspended Hyunjun Yang.

And Daizen Maeda will make his 100th appearance for the club since joining from Yokohama F. Marinos back in January 2022.

He made his debut in a 2-0 home win over Hibernian that same month, marking the occasion with the first of 24 goals he’s scored for the club, including five this season.

And in his time with the club, he’s won two league titles, one League Cup and the Scottish Cup last season.

Ahead of this afternoon’s Scottish Cup tie, Maeda’s played four times against Livingston and has scored three goals against them.

Kick-off at Celtic Park is 2.30pm and you can follow the build-up and all the action on the club website’s Match Centre

CELTIC: Hart, Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor, Tomoki, O’Riley, Bernardo, Kuhn, Idah, Maeda.
