Pete Guelli named COO of Bills, Sabres

Pete Guelli has been named the new COO of the Bills and Sabres. He will “oversee the business operations” for both teams.

Guelli will be joining the Bills for his second stint, as he was SVP/Business Ventures from 1998-2009. He returns to Buffalo after a five-year tenure as the Chief business Officer of the N.Y. Giants. Guelli’s tasks with the Giants included “modernizing the team’s business model and operations” and leading the “effort to sign retired quarterback Eli Manning to a role with the organization” (BUFFALO NEWS, 3/19). Josh Dziurlikowski, who had been serving as interim COO of the Bills since the October firing of John Roth, will move into a SVP/Finance & Business Operations role, while Sabres interim COO Rob Minter was named VP/Business Operations (WIVB.com, 3/19).
