Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in Sporting CP winger Marcus Edwards, as Oliver Glasner looks ahead to the summer transfer window to bolster his squad.
It’s set to be a busy summer at Crystal Palace, as Oliver Glasner prepares to make changes to the squad he inherited from Roy Hodgson last month.
The Eagles are expected to see change in the transfer window, with a host of speculation already surfacing regarding the futures of star duo, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.
That being said, the South Londoners are also braced to welcome some new faces to the club, with Glasner keen to add more talent to the ranks.
Crystal Palace could strengthen their attack this summer
Documented earlier today, Palace are said to want to sign a striker in the summer, with HITC journalist Graeme Bailey telling We Are Palace of the club’s stance on Eddie Nketiah and Serhou Guirassy.
As well as adding depth to the front line, it’s now reported that the Eagles could be tempted to add to their wide areas, with former Tottenham academy jewel Marcus Edwards linked with a move to Selhurst.
As reported by Portuguese news outlet A Bola, Palace are said to see Edwards as a target for next season, stating that the 25-year-old is ‘one of Glasner’s requests’ in the summer.
While it’s clear that the manager is a fan of the Sporting CP superstar, there could be a slight stumbling block as his release clause is set at €60m (£57m), a price that could be lowered if the right figure is produced.
