Aston Villa plan to accept £15m Iroegbunam bid after Ajax reveal

Aston Villa will demand a fee of between £10-15million for Tim Iroegbunam this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Ajax have made the 20-year-old a top target ahead of the off-season.

Football Insider revealed via sources on Tuesday (26 March) that the Dutch giants are exploring a deal for Iroegbunam.

The midfielder caught the eye with his performances against Ajax home and away in the Europa Conference League Round of 16 clash as Aston Villa progressed with a 4-0 aggregate win.

He is rated highly at Aston Villa but has struggled for game time under Unai Emery with multiple senior stars above him in the pecking order.

Aston Villa ready to cash in on Iroegbunam after Ajax reveal

Iroegbunam has turned out eight times for Villa’s senior side this term, playing 148 minutes in total.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Midlands giants are open to cashing in on the 20-year-old homegrown star in a bid to comply with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).

Sources say Emery’s side will demand a fee of between £10-15million for his services.

Aston Villa sold Aaron Ramsey, Jaden Philogene and Cameron Archer last summer (2023) with home-grown players counting as pure profit in the club’s accounts and helping their PSR situation.

Iroegbunam, who is an England Under-20 international, spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan as a regular for Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

He made 28 starts in 33 total appearances for the Londoners.
