Real Madrid may think twice about Kylian Mbappe transfer as ex-director warns of ‘upset’.

Real Madrid have been warned about signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer

Real Madrid have been warned there could be an ‘upset’ among their top stars if Kylian Mbappe arrives from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. Mbappe is widely expected to complete a move to Spain with his PSG contract due to expire at the end of the season

Unlike two years ago when he reportedly penned a mega £1million per-week deal, the France captain has appeared reluctant to extend his stay in Paris. It paves the way for a blockbuster switch to La Liga giants Real to be completed in the summer transfer window

However, former Los Blancos player and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has raised concerns that Mbappe’s arrival could ‘upset’ several other big players. Real have many exciting attacking prospects and will also welcome Endrick in the summer, bloating Carlo Ancelotti’s forward options.

“Having six ‘top’ players is a lot of headaches for a coach. That can upset the locker room atmosphere a little bit. Everyone thinks they have to play, so it’s very complicated,” Mijatovic told Spanish broadcaster Cadena Ser

The Montenegrin believes there could be a ‘long’ summer with at least a couple of departures. He pointed out that president Florentino Perez has never had an issue selling high-profile stars when the time is right

“Surely everyone will start pre-season and then the summer will be long,” Mijatovic continued.

“Besides, looking at Florentino’s history as president, he has never had a problem selling players. Figo, Hierro, Raul, Casillas, Ramos… have all left. A lot of players who perhaps were not transferable. This is Real Madrid.”

One player who has been linked with a shock exit is Vinicius Jr. Mbappe has made clear that he prefers to play on the left-hand side, the position Vinicius has occupied since his move to Madrid, while Endrick could play through the middle.

Spanish publication Sport reported in January that Real may consider selling the Brazilian for £130million to help fund Mbappe’s arrival. Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old winger.

Meanwhile, PSG boss Luis Enrique responded bluntly after Mbappe appeared frustrated to have been substituted during the club’s 2-0 win over Marseille on Sunday. “It’s the same music every single week, the same music… it’s so boring,” Enrique told Prime Video. “I am the manager, I make the decisions every day, every week.

“I am going to do the same until my last day in Paris. I always try to find the best solution for my team. Even if you don’t (understand the decision), I don’t care. I don’t care at all.”
