Ferrell’s first public Leeds appearance scheduled this month

Leeds United have a new investor on board at the club this month with Hollywood icon Will Ferrell

a minority investor under the 49ers.

After Sunday, all focus is on Leeds’ preparations for a huge Elland Road clash against Norwich City on Thursday evening – a straight shootout to secure a place at Wembley.

An uneventful 0-0 draw sets the tie up nicely for this week, hopefully putting Leeds in the playoff final at the end of the month.

Will Ferrell confirmed as new Leeds United investor

This month has brought major off-field news for the Whites, in the form of Hollywood actor Will Ferrell being revealed as one of the latest investors at Elland Road

The 49ers have been shrewd in their ability to draw in celebrity investment, and Ferrell is the newest on board, arguably the biggest name so far too.

His role, per The Athletic, is minority investor – meaning that Ferrell won’t have that much of a say when it comes to major changes at the club, with Paraag Marathe still in charge of the club as chairman, as he has been since last summer when he took over from Andrea Radrizzani.

Who will win the playoffs?

Will Ferrell to appear at Wembley if Leeds make it

The first chance Leeds fans will get to see Ferrell in attendance to support the team he’s now financially attached to is at Wembley.

The Sun have reported that the actor is planning to watch his first Leeds game at the iconic stadium should Daniel Farke’s side make it past Norwich in the second leg.

As shown above, Ferrell has already been present at Wembley as a guest of Ryan Reynolds, watching Wrexham in the FA Trophy against Bromley back in 2022.

Ferrell will be hoping for huge Thursday performance from Leeds

Getting there is the first objective for Leeds, and that means showing a bit more potency against Norwich than we saw in the first leg.

We defended very well and were the only side that looked like ever scoring, albeit barely threatening ourselves, but we need to convert that control into a result.

Should we get to Wembley, Ferrell will be watching us against one of two sides that looked very competent in their 0-0 draw.
