Braves celebrate Strider with the most Strider giveaway of all time

You will not find a promotion that encapsulates Spencer Strider more than the one that the Braves announced on Thursday.

One of the worst parts of the Atlanta Braves 2024 season so far is that fans haven’t gotten the chance to truly appreciate the talent of Spencer Strider. After an electric 2023 season. Strider’s elbow gave out on him and he had to have Tommy John surgery which will keep him out until sometime in 2025. It is safe to say that Braves fans are anxious to see him back striking out everyone again soon.

However, what many Braves fans may not know is that Strider is also a huge music junkie. He has gone on the record ranking his favorite bands in certain genres and it is also abundantly clear that he loves his vinyl and particularly loves indie rock.

The Braves are leaning in hard on Strider’s affinity for music with their latest promotion and we suspect the lines at Truist Park may form quite early to receive this custom vinyl compromised of some of Strider’s favorite tracks

Braves’ Spencer Strider promotional vinyl giveaway is incredibly cool

The giveaway itself will happen at the Braves’ August 7th, 2024 game against the Brewers and is a nice departure from the usual bobblehead/figure giveaways. Moreover, Strider’s picks for this album are actually sick with Lunar Vacation and Trash Panda being particularly excellent (this author isn’t cool enough to know much about Dinner Time). It is mildly surprising that The Strokes weren’t featured prominently, but there could have been some understandable permission issues in play here.

The first 15,000 fans at the game will get the vinyl and for the uninitiated when it comes to vinyl, you can fully expect a lot of people wanting in on this promotion. We have all seen what sorts of crowds come out for bobbleheads and this giveaway adds an entire other rabid collector base to the equation.

In short, great and unique giveaway by the Braves and there may not be a more Spencer Strider thing ever than getting his team to do a vinyl giveaway with some of his favorite music on it. Next up, he needs to create four original tracks and have those pressed into vinyl.
