‘Advanced talks’ Romano- world class player keen to join villa

Aston Villa are in negotiation to sign Ross Barkley from Luton Town, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Guardian reports that the 30-year-old midfielder, who has enjoyed a fine campaign with Luton, could be available at a modest fee.

The Villans are close to signing the England midfielder, and Romano has confirmed that “negotiations are progressing well, and Unai Emery truly believes that Barkley can be a smart addition for the side.

Barkley previously played for Villa on loan from Chelsea, and he is now keen to join Villa Park on a permanent deal.

The transfer guru has suggested that “advanced talks” are held, and it appears that the deal is highly on the cards. Villa want to strengthen the side after qualifying for the Champions League next season and they believe Barkley can be a good addition.

Barkley has impressed for Luton, and journalist Alex Barker hailed him as “genuine world-class quality” after watching him put in an outstanding performance in a Premier League game.

Big summer transfer window for Aston Villa

The 33-cap England international joined Luton on a free transfer, and the move has worked wonders for him. Barkley has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League and in European competition, and Villa can provide him with the right platform.

His potential arrival will represent a shrewd piece of business for Villa. The club signed Youri Tielemans from Leicester City at the end of his contract, and they are looking to get another experienced Premier League player at a decent price.

Villa are looking to sign two midfielders, a full-back and a forward, and it’s going to be a busy transfer window for them. The Guardian suggests that the Villans are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.

The club are also careful with their financial restrictions, and they may have to offload some of their players, such as Jacob Ramsey and Diego Carlos.
