Leeds United owners 49ers Enterprises are confident that Daniel Farke is the right man to lead them into next season, according to Football Insider.
The Whites have been resigned to another season of Championship football after falling at the final hurdle last weekend. Having pushed both Leicester City and Ipswich Town all the way in the race for automatic promotion, one win in their final six games saw them forced to enter the play-offs.
A comfortable 4-0 aggregate win over Norwich City in the semi-final set up a clash with Southampton at Wembley Stadium. However, the Saints secured a spot in the Premier League thanks to a solitary strike from Adam Armstrong.
As such, a busy summer is now expected at Elland Road. A raft of first team stars could be sold to ease their well-documented financial woes, including the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto. Both of these players have attracted interest from the top tier and clubs around Europe.
Top scorer Summerville is said to be wanted by the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle United and could generate up to £45 million. This would represent a significant increase on the £1.25 million outlay they paid Feyenoord for his services in 2020.
There had been murmurings that Farke could be sacked following the defeat in the capital. According to the report, this is not the case and it appears as if the German is set to remain at the club. The current owners retain their belief that the 47-year-old is the right man for the job. Furthermore, it is claimed that Farke still has the support of the players.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach coach is a two-time winner of the Championship with Norwich and penned a four-year deal upon his arrival last summer.

It’s refreshing to see a club not make a rash decision during a setback. Leeds made a slow start to the season but recovered to become one of the most in-form teams in the country. Unfortunately, they ran out of steam towards the back end of the campaign, ultimately playing into Southampton’s hands.
Still, a third-placed finish in what was arguably one of the strongest Championship seasons in history is still an achievement. The play-offs can be a lottery and he deserves another shot. No disrespect to the clubs coming down from the Premier League, but he will fancy his chances over the ones that have just gone up.
