Celtic Goalkeeper Target Shines in Euros Opener

Slovakia defeated Belgium 1-0 in their opening match, thanks to an early goal from Slavia Prague’s Ivan Schranz.

However, it was Slovakia’s goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka, who stole the show and earned Fotmob’s Man of the Match award for his exceptional performance.

Despite facing a formidable Belgian side with an expected goals (xG) of 1.91, Dubravka stood tall, saving all five shots on target. His heroics in goal secured the victory for Slovakia.

Celtic, in search of a replacement for their recently retired goalkeeper Joe Hart, have set their sights on Dubravka. The 35-year-old shot-stopper has previously revealed interest from Celtic, although he admitted that he has not received any offers this summer.

As the transfer window has just opened, Dubravka’s focus remains on the Euros, where he will be looking to continue his impressive form.

His stock will be rising if his form keeps up, so Celtic will need to make their move soon if they wish to secure the stopper.
